1. Impressing DaKaari Nelson

Penn State commit DaKaari Nelson is from Alabama.

According to Audrey Snyder of The Athletic, Penn State assistant coaches will watch Nelson play on Friday night and then he will attend the game on Saturday.

Considering Penn State is the away team, Nelson will be a guest of Auburn. Meaning the Tigers will roll out the red carpet for him.

If Penn State was to lose, the Auburn coaches will be right there in Nelson’s ear. While this game likely will not make or break Nelson’s commitment, it’s important to impress commits as much as possible.

Penn State already lost one commit from Alabama in 4-star Tomarrion Parker, the staff does not want to lose another.

An athletic safety that may grow into a linebacker in college, the 4-star Nelson is a key part of this recruiting class and Penn State will look to keep the momentum going with him and the other southern recruits with a win on Saturday.
