Say Hello to the new Penn State Rushing Attack

Penn State Football went on a stretch of great running backs for the majority of James Franklins’ career. It started with Saquon Barkley, transitioned to Miles Sanders, and ended with Journey Brown. These three running backs were key in winning a Big Ten Championship and going to three New Year Six Bowl games.

Flash forward to last season, Penn State was one of the worst teams in the country at running the ball. Penn State only averaged 107 yards a game on the ground. Absolutely dismal for a team trying to run the ball.

There is new blood in the “Lawn Boyz.” Highly rated Nicholas Singleton and Kaytron Allen have both impressed during spring and fall camp. Keyvone Lee returns as the veteran in the group. The offensive line is supposedly stronger than last season as well.

Here comes Bold Prediction number two….

The Penn State Nittany Lions led by Kaytron Allen rack up over 200 yards rushing.

Not only will the running game return to its roots, but Kaytron “Fatman” Allen will break off the longest run since 2019. It only needs to be longer than 45 yards. Nicholas Singleton will have the most yardage, but Allen finds the endzone.
