Newcomer Update

Penn State’s incoming 2022-2023 recruiting class was much heralded throughout the past season as the ‘best in school history.’  While it actually finished second according to most rankings, hopes are still high for this new batch of Penn State hoopsters.  Shrewsberry went into a bit of detail on his first recruiting class in State College.

"“It’s hard for freshmen,…I’m throwing a lot of stuff them. I don’t do a lot of explaining all the time. I still expect you to kind of know it, so their heads are spinning. But they’re doing a great job.”"

Shrewsberry went further, noting he often sees all five of them together, creating a real class bond.

"“They’re experiencing everything about Penn State, about Penn State basketball, together. So they’re helping each other kind of learn their way through it.”"
