2. Not slowing down

Thursday was a rough day for Penn State recruiting.

The school’s quarterback commit, Marcus Stokes, flipped to Florida and then minutes later, Stokes’ friend and fellow Penn State target Treyaun Webb also committed to the Gators. This looked like deliberate jab at Penn State.

On top of that, another top target, Cam Seldon, committed to Tennessee while this was all going on.

It really looked like all of Penn State’s recruiting momentum had been stopped.

That was not the case.

The next day, the Nittany Lions come back and flip a 4-star who was committed to Alabama. While he was technically committed to Alabama, Elliot Washington was also being targeted by Michigan State.

This was an impressive pull, and what makes it better is that Washington is from Florida. Penn State did not let the events on Thursday hurt their recruiting footprint in Florida.

This was a statement by James Franklin and his staff.

More good news could be coming soon with other top targets slated to commit in the coming days.
