Penn State football now has to fill a void in the 2023 class that will be difficult fill this late in the cycle.

Marcus Stokes shocked a lot of people on Thursday when he decommitted from Penn State football and flipped to Florida.

The Nittany Lions now need to find a new quarterback for their 2023 class, but that will be a difficult task.

Penn State only offered ten quarterbacks for the 2023 cycle and nine of them are already committed while the other is leaning towards a school not named Penn State.

In order to fill Stokes’ void, it looks like quarterbacks coach Mike Yurcich will either have to do a flip of his own or identify new talent and extend an offer.

We’re going to take a look at the few options that are currently out there for Yurcich and Penn State. The Nittany Lions need to find a replacement, the idea of not taking a quarterback in a recruiting class is not wise. There is so much movement at the quarterback position each year because of the transfer portal, so it’s important to add as much depth as possible to the roster.
