DT Jason Moore

One of Penn State football’s top targets will announce his commitment on July 10.

Listed at 6-foot-6 and 255 pounds, Moore has the makings of big-time force on the defensive line. Some schools like him better at defensive end, while others at defensive tackle. Considering that he’s already 255 pounds, tackle looks like the more logical long-term home for him.

The 247 Sports Composite ranks the DeMatha Catholic (MD) standout as the No. 53 player in the nation. He is also a force on the basketball court and is the brother of Villanova star Justin Moore.

Moore took an official visit to Penn State back on the weekend of June 3-5. His other visits were to Notre Dame, Michigan and Ohio State. These four schools will all have a hat at the table when he announces.

The competition here is tough. Notre Dame is recruiting at a level they never have before under new head coach Marcus Freeman and Ohio State can get whoever they want whenever they want.

The Nittany Lions have a long-standing relationship with Moore, we’ll have to see if it’s enough.
