3. LB Kaveion Keys

Penn State Football should feel good about their chances with their top two linebacker targets, but that shouldn’t stop them from recruiting Kaveion Keys.

According to 247 Sports, Keys will visit Penn State this weekend.

A 4-star from Virginia, Keys is listed at 6-foot-3 and 205 pounds. That’s pretty good size for a linebacker, with room to grow.

His notable offers include Florida, North Carolina and Virginia Tech. Keys took an official to North Carolina at the beginning of the month.

It will be interesting to see how this visit goes. Tony Rojas is expected to commit on July 5 and Ta’Mere Robinson on July 15. It’s hard to see Penn State taking a linebacker before those two announce.

There’s also the factor of how interested Keys is. The more local schools seem to have more of his attention at the moment. But, after what happened with Tomarrion Parker, you can’t rule out Penn State when a recruit takes an official visit to Happy Valley.
