4. Penn State Football at Auburn (9/17)

In week three, not only will the Nittany Lions be representing Penn State University when they head south to take on the Auburn Tigers, but they will also be representing the Big Ten.

Facing off against a good SEC program, in their home stadium, is almost always going to be one of the biggest games of the year.

Sure, Michigan and Michigan State will both be better teams in 2022 than Auburn will be, and certainly a conference win carries more weight than a non-conference win, but Penn State has had and will continue to have plenty of opportunities to beat those two schools in their home stadiums, but this is probably the only time any of us will ever see the Nittany Lions travel to Jordan-Hare Stadium.

This will also be the first real test for Penn State’s run defense – particularly at linebacker where depth could be an issue – trying to slow down one of the nation’s top running backs, Tank Bigsby.

A road win in the southeastern region of the country, where there are a number of talented recruits (some of which might be in attendance), is also an added bonus.
