2. ATH Rodney Gallagher

As mentioned, every name on this list is visiting from June 17-19 and that includes 4-star athlete Rodney Gallagher.

Another Pittsburgh area recruit, Gallagher is one of the best athletes on the East Coast, listed as the No. 10 athlete in the country for the 2023 cycle. The 5-foot-11, 160-pounder is likely a wide receiver for Penn State.

Like Robinson, Gallagher has been to Penn State’s campus numerous times, so this is closing time for the staff. Unlike Robinson though, is the fact that Gallagher already has four of his officials planned, so there’s a lot more competition here.

West Virginia, Oklahoma State and Notre Dame will also receive visits from Gallagher. Penn State will receive the last visit though, which certainly doesn’t hurt.

What also doesn’t hurt is the fact that Penn State had Gallagher on campus for unofficial visit just two days after Jahan Dotson was drafted No. 16 overall by the Washington Commanders. Penn State is trying to make Gallagher the next Dotson, and the experts seem to agree as Brian Dohn of 247 Sports compared Gallagher to Dotson.

During his visit in June, wide receiver’s coach Taylor Stubblefield will probably show a Dotson highlight or two to Gallagher.
