Eight Penn State Football players were drafted in the 2022 NFL Draft, the most in one draft for the program since 1996. Five more undrafted Penn State Nittany Lions found homes shortly after the draft.

Penn State Football had eight players selected in the 2022 NFL Draft, but multiple other players found homes in the NFL following the draft through undrafted free agent signings with teams all across the league.

This turned out to arguably be Penn State’s most successful draft under James Franklin, with 13 of his players getting picked up by teams either through the draft or signings.

Jahan Dotson stole the show from a Penn State standpoint, being drafted 16th overall by the Washington Commanders. Arnold Ebiketie and Jaquan Brisker were early second round picks, giving the Nittany Lions three draft selections in the top 50 picks.

Penn State had two fourth round selections in linebacker Brandon Smith to the Carolina Panthers and punter Jordan Stout to the Baltimore Ravens. Stout was the first punter drafted in this year’s draft.

Later on, Tariq Castro-Fields was a sixth-round selection of the San Francisco 49ers. The day ended with Rasheed Walker and Jesse Luketa being selected in the seventh round by the Packers and Cardinals, respectfully.

However, there was still a handful of former Nittany Lions looking for a home after the draft ended. Luckily, NFL teams work quickly when it comes to signing undrafted free agents, so by Sunday morning, most Penn Staters who entered the draft had found a home in the NFL.

Let’s take a look at where all of the undrafted Nittany Lions ended up signing.
