Penn State Basketball head coach Micah Shrewsberry added the program’s second commit of the 2023 cycle, forward Logan Imes

The Penn State Basketball Class of 2023 added their second commit, Logan Imes.

The 6’4″ combo guard from Zionsville, Indiania (Zionsville High School), has offers from Creighton, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest.  He visited State College on March 16th and was mainly recruited by Assistant Coach Adam Fisher.

Imes has yet to receive rankings in either the state or national rankings.  His only visit was to State College.  His verbal committment teams with Braeden Shrewsberry, a three star who committed to the Nittany Lion programs a few months ago.

The upcoming 2022 season, however, is still taking shape as Sam Sessoms departed for the transfer portal.

Penn State Basketball’s only returning power forward is junior college transfer Jevonnie Scott and it’s likely that Micah Shrewsberry will be hitting the transfer portal hard, hoping to find more Jalen Pickett-type success as opposed to the Jaheam Cornwall/Jalanni White-like misses from a year ago.

Logan could be a long-term replacement for Sessoms at a slightly taller frame and with this relatively early commitment could signal the rest of the 2023 recruiting class will focus on the front-court.
