Penn State Basketball may not be dancing this March, but we still have some former blue and white brethren to watch!

It wasn’t a great year for Penn State Basketball.

To make things worse, a significant player has already entered the transfer portal. But, Nittany Nation still have some Penn Staters to cheer on as the NCAA Tournament kicks off Thursday.

Izaiah Brockington (Iowa State) vs LSU, Friday March 18th at 7:20 pm on TBS

Brockington had a killer year for the Cyclones, averaging 17.2 points and 7.1 rebounds, shooting over 45% from the field and almost 38% from three (a 10% improvement from last year). He initially re-committed to the Nittany Lions after the hiring of Micah Shrewsberry before changing his mind and reentering the transfer portal.

The former Nittany Lions’ star was named a Naismith Award finalist (the college basketball version of the Heisman Trophy) and he will lead the Cyclones against a familiar opponent for PSU fans, the Lousiana State University Tigers, who defeated Penn State in overtime.

With an upset win (LUS is 4.5 point favorites), Iowa State would face either #3 Wisconsin or #14 Colgate.
