LB Josh Chandler-Semedo-West Virginia

Josh Chandler-Semedo is the most experienced linebacker to enter the transfer portal. He is currently ranked as the top available transfer portal target by on3 sports.

Chandler-Semedo has started for the last three seasons at West Virginia University. He tallied over 200 tackles those three seasons. With six turnovers caused, Chandler-Semedo seems to always be around the ball.

Penn State only has one starter returning to a depleted linebacker group. Curtis Jacobs will be asked to step up this season and take on extra responsibility. The linebacker room is short on experience. Chandler-Semedo could be a perfect stopgap.

Josh Chandler-Semedo entered his name into the transfer portal just last week. This makes it really tough to name favorites at this point. Chandler-Semedo is from Ohio, so that could play a factor.

While Penn State may or may not be involved yet with Chandler-Semedo, he is clearly an upgrade to what they currently have. This recruitment will likely last until after spring practices.
