Could former Philadelphia Eagle great Jeremiah Trotter’s son be joining Penn State Football?

Josiah Carter is aiming to follow in his father’s footsteps and could be eyeing Penn State Football.

The four-star linebacker out of powerhouse Philadelphia school St. Joe’s Prep has listed his top 5 schools, and the Nittany Lions made the cut.

The consensus four-star recruit received at least 16 offered thus far, but Friday announced his final four schools are Virginia Tech, Clemson, Penn State Football, West Virginia, and South Carolina.

The 6-foot-2 and 235 pound class of 2023 star has visited State College three times in the past eight months (6/3/2021, 7/31/2021, and 9/18/2021). That is by far the most visits out of any of his final five schools (Clemson 0 visits, Virginia Tech 1 visit, West Virginia 0 visits, and South Carolina 1 visit).

His father, the two-time Pro Bowler for the Philadelphia Eagles, Jeremiah Trotter, already has another son in college and that’s where things could get tricky for James Franklin and Penn State Football’s recruitment of Josiah.

His older brother, also named Jeremiah, is already on the Clemson Tigers roster as a linebacker.

Either way, it’s always nice to make the final five for a star recruit so let’s see if Franklin and company can close the deal and welcome Josiah Trotter to Happy Valley.
