Penn State Football defeated Auburn in Happy Valley last season. The turmoil caused by Bryan Harsin could provide more victories off the field.

Penn State Football has limited history when it comes to Auburn Football.

The two programs have only met on the field three times. The most recent was in 2021 for the annual White Out game in Beaver Stadium, in which the Nittany Lions were victorious 28-20.

Since that game, Auburn’s season went downhill as they dropped their last five games. In addition to the on-field results, Head Coach Bryan Harsin is embroiled in an off-field scandal involving poor treatment of players.

Penn State Football fans are probably thinking, “What does this have to do with us?”

Well, Penn State Football and Auburn are recruiting many of the same players.

Instability at a school can be the deciding factor for many of these recruits. Penn State Football has a coach that is just starting a ten-year contract. Auburn has a coach that doesn’t have a clear future.
