Penn State Football’s ideal Big Ten, ACC, Pac 12 non-conference matchups

These two historic programs met in the Rose Bowl following the 2016 season and played an instant classic.

These two uniforms, these two programs with their storied tradition meeting in any setting is what college football is all about. USC making the splash hire of this coaching cycle landing Lincoln Reilly who has killed it in the transfer portal and is not done yet.

Neither of these teams has made the college football playoff since its inception and USC particularly is looking to restore its dominance of the Pac 12.

Who knows what the future holds for each of these teams, but a meeting in 2023 could be a quarterback battle of Drew Allar against Caleb Williams and that would stop the college football world in its tracks.

Whether or not this game was played in SoCal or at Beaver Stadium, the eyes of college football would be upon it.
