Trio of 2022 Penn State Football signees earn 5-star status from On3
Three of Penn State Football’s centerpieces of the 2022 recruiting class, Drew Allar, Nick Singleton, and Dani Dennis-Sutton were upgraded to five-stars
The trio of Drew Allar, Nick Singleton and Dani Dennis-Sutton received more headlines on Monday, with the 2022 Penn State football signees all earning 5-star status from On3.
On3 becomes the latest recruiting service to acknowledge the talents of these three, as Dennis-Sutton also has a 5-star rating on Rivals and Allar and Singleton have the honor from 247 Sports. To date, On3 is the only service to give the fifth star to all.
The ranking update comes after all three performed well during the practices and game of the Army All-American Bowl a couple week back. The new rankings from On3 have Allar at No. 7, Singleton at No. 16 and Dennis-Sutton at No. 20. With this being the first recruiting cycle that On3 is a part of, there’s no past rankings to look back at, but Penn State Football never signed three top 20 recruits in the same class before, going off of the 247 Sports composite.
Obviously, there is a difference between the composite and this, but the comparison shows how historic this class has been for James Franklin.

Allar and Singleton are already enrolled at Penn State and are taking part in winter workouts. Meanwhile, Dennis-Sutton just finished up a trip to Hawaii for Polynesian Bowl, where he was joined by fellow Penn State signees Cam Miller and Anthony Ivey. Dennis-Sutton was a part of small select few who were able to play in two all-star bowl games this Winter.
As for Singleton, no current high school player may a bigger trophy case than him. In the past few months, Singleton was awarded the Gatorade National Player of the Year Award, the Maxwell High School Offensive National Player of the Year, earned his Army All-American honors and now has a fifth star from two recruiting services.
In On3’s rankings, Penn State’s 2022 class comes in at No. 7 nationally.
