Nicholas Singleton – Running Back

It may seem crazy to feature Singleton on this list considering he has not even thrown on a Penn State Football helmet or set of pads yet, but the youngster is just that good and comes to Happy Valley with this kind of warranted expectations.

Singleton was named the 2021 Gatorade National Player of the Year after he rushed for 2,043 yards and 41 touchdowns last season, averaging 12.4 yards per carry and scoring a touchdown on every 3.9 carries.

Those video game-like numbers led Singleton to be ranked as a four-star prospect and the 49th overall prospect in the country according to 247Sports.

Just this week Nittany Lions running back Noah Cain entered the transfer portal and landed back in his hometown with the LSU Tigers.

With his 4.5 speed Singleton will be the perfect compliment to Lee in the backfield, forming a thunder and lighting combination so expect him to see the field early and often as a true freshman.
