Tommy Brown – Offensive Tackle

Brown is a menacing figure at six-foot-seven and 320 pounds but has entered the transfer portal after not seeing any playing time with the Crimson Tide.

A former highly recruited four-star out of Santa Ana, California he did not hold an offer from Penn State Football but we have seen Franklin go after players he did not previously have relationships with, especially one who plays a position of such need in tackle.

Brown enrolled at Alabama in 2018, so has spent a number of years in one of the best strength programs in the country which will come in handy for him once he does see the field at his next stop.

With Olu Fashanu a likely starter at left tackle, right tackle could be a position of real need for the Nittany Lions after Caden Wallace struggled this past season, particularly in pass protection. Former four-star recruit Landon Tengwall came to Happy Valley as a tackle, and saw time at tackle this season, but also has seen work at guard which may be a better position for him going forward.

Hitting a home run in the transfer portal at right tackle could change the entire look of this offensive line and offense in 2022.
