2. Drew Allar: More than a Passer

The arm talent of Allar is obviously impressive, but despite being 6-foot-5 and close to 230 pounds, he’s not the statue you might expect.

Throughout his high school season, Allar showed the ability to extend plays and make throws on the run, and this continued in the All-American game.

The best example of this comes from the fourth quarter of the game when Allar is forced to leave the pocket due to pressure and launches the ball roughly 40 yards downfield while off balance for a big competition.

He may not be the overall running threat that Trace McSorley, or even Sean Clifford, was, but it looks like he has very good pocket awareness and can turn a broken play into a big gain.

With Penn State’s offensive line struggles over the years, this is a part of Allar’s game that cannot be overlooked.
