Some of Penn State Football’s most highly touted signees in years, including Drew Allar and Nicholas Singleton made their presence felt at the Army All-American Bowl

Four Penn State football signees took part in the 2022 Army All-American Bowl on Saturday, and they gave Nittany Lions fans glimpses of what’s to come.

The four Nittany Lions, quarterback Drew Allar, running back Nick Singleton, defensive end Dani Dennis-Sutton and linebacker Keon Wylie all started for the East team in the game. The East would come up short 34-14 in the game.

Allar connected with Texas A&M commit Smoke Bouie on a 29-yard touchdown to get the East squad on the board in the first quarter. The duo would again connect on a deep pass in the fourth quarter on a great play by Allar.

Allar unfortunately dealt with shaky offensive line play and miscommunication with receivers that led to a fair share of incompletions. He did show the ability to escape the pocket when necessary and the arm talent was definitely on display. Allar was robbed of a second touchdown in the fourth quarter when Georgia signee Oscar Delp dropped a pass in the endzone on fourth down.

Singleton did not receive too much action in the game, with it being a pass-happy offense for the East team.

But, Singleton had a few carries and showed toughness fighting for extra yards between the tackles. Singleton is great in space, but there were questions about him running between the tackles, he seemed to fare well in this game.

Dennis-Sutton had a highlight that warmed the hearts of Penn State Football fans everywhere, as he beat Ohio State signee George Fitzpatrick off the edge and sacked another Ohio State signee, Devin Brown. Dennis-Sutton showed his power and speed all game and it looks like he will get an opportunity to be a part of Penn State’s defensive end rotation next season.

Wylie was active at the linebacker position and had a handful of tackles in the game. He is one of the more underrated members of Penn State Football’s 2022 class, but with the lack of depth at linebacker, he is one of the class’s more important members.

All four signees, part of the nation’s No. 6 recruiting class, showed signs of what they will bring when they arrive in Happy Valley and look to be a part of a promising future at Penn State.
