Miles Sanders suffered a hand injury in the first half of the Philadelphia Eagles’ game against the NY GIants that knocked him out of the contest

Miles Sanders set new career-highs for rushing yards in back-to-back games leading up to Sunday’s game, and against the NY Giants seemed primed to make a run at a third-consecutive personal best, before being knocked from the game due to an injury.

Sanders departed for the Eagles’ locker room with 1:53 remaining in the first half with a hand injury, and as the Eagles moved down the field on their first possession of the second half, was officially ruled out.

Sunday afternoon, Sanders had already rushed for 45 yards, while averaging a whopping 6.4 yards per carry.

Earlier this season, Sanders suffered an ankle injury in an Eagles win over the Jets.

In Sanders’ absence, Eagles running back Boston Scott scored a four-yard touchdown to lift Philadelphia to a 10-3 lead.

Following his brief appearance in Sunday’s game, Sanders now has rushed for 754 yards this season but has yet to score a touchdown.

Sanders was chosen by the Eagles in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft, out of Penn State Football.
