Penn State Football is primed to welcome one of the nation’s more heralded recruiting classes during the 2022 National Early Signing period this week

National Signing Day is right around the corner for Penn State Football during the early signing period for the Nittany Lions‘ 2022 recruiting Class.

Starting December 15th, FBS football schools are able to receive national letters of intent through December 17th. This is a chance for Penn State Football to start locking up the recruits from their highly ranked 2022 recruiting class.

Recruits are amped to sign early, like Kaden Saunders, a four star wide receiver from Westerville, Ohio, who announced he will be signing his letter of intent at the Westerville South main gym:

The Nittany Loins are currently ranked No. 6 in the national recruiting class rankings on 24/7 with 1 five star, fifteen four stars and 9 to stars for a total of 25 commits, the highest in the top 10.

Penn State Football is (unfortunately) still ranked second in the Big Ten Conference, behind Ohio State (#4 overall).  Alabama and Georgia rank 1 and 2, with Texas A&M and Notre Dame rounding out the top 5.

The 2022 recruting class is led by Drew Allar, the five star recruit from Medina, Ohio and the local prospect, Nicholas Singleton, from Reading, PA.  Singleton is listed as a four star like fellow running back Kaytron Allen and the aforementioned Kaden Saunders.

Television coverage of Early Signing Period starts at 9:00 am on SEC Network and throughout the day on ESPN and ESPN U along with Big Ten specific coverage on the Big Ten Network.
