1. Clifford is historically good

Despite all the criticism Clifford has drawn from fans and media members alike, he finds himself near the top of almost every leaderboard when it comes to Penn State Football quarterbacks.

The senior currently sits 2,255 yards behind all-time program passing leader Trace McSorley in passing yards and only 16 behind McSorley in passing touchdowns. Assuming Clifford starts all 12 plus games next year, he should eclipse both of those marks.

Clifford remarkably is second all time in quarterback rating behind only Mcsorley by about one point, making him one of the most efficient Penn State Football signal callers of all time.

He may not be remembered as the most talented or elite player, but when put into perspective throughout the history of a storied program, it is impressive what he has accomplished and that should be both recognized and celebrated.
