Sean Spencer

The most interesting name on this list is Sean Spencer, or “coach chaos” as he affectionately goes by.

Spencer is currently in his second season as the defensive line coach for the New York Giants, but held that position for Penn State Football for six seasons. During that time Spencer consistently had great defensive lines and put players into the NFL on a yearly basis.

He is a high-energy, high-character man who could have an interest in coming back to college football because sources close to Spencer tell FanSided that his ultimate goal is to one day become a head coach.

If his ultimate goal is to become a head coach, taking the job as the defensive coordinator for Penn State Football probably does more for him than staying on as the defensive line coach for the Giants does.

This would be a hire that would be unanimously lauded by the fan base, and one with huge upside and very little risk for Franklin and the Nittany Lions.
