The Nittany Lions (2-1) opened the season with an easy home victory over Youngstown State before getting whallopped at UMass (Buttrick Revenge Game) and coming home to beat St. Francis (Brooklyn). The Nittany Lions are led by Sam Sessoms (18.3 ppg), Seth Lundy’s 16.0 ppg and averaging a double double, John Harrar (12.7 and 13.0 rpg).
Cornell is 4-0 on the season, winning at Binghamton and Lafayette before returning home to beat both Colgate and Wells College. Forwards Jordan Jones leads the team in scoring (16.0 ppg) and Kobe Dickson in rebounds (7.0), assists (2.50) and blocks (1.2) per game. Unlike the Lions, the Big Red run a very deep line-up, with 12 players averaging 12 or more minutes a game.

Shrewsberry announced that transfer Greg Lee will be out for a few weeks with an injury but he has been seen on the bench so it’s hopeful he’ll return soon. Similarly, despite the NCAA transfer issues, Jevonnie Scott is also now with the team but still has not played. Cornell has not announced any significant injuries.
