Penn State Basketball, led by head coach Micah Shrewsberry, and returning starters Seth Lunday and John Harrar, take on the Northeast Conference’s Saint Francis (Brooklyn) Terriers in a campus game of the Emerald Coast Classic Thursday November 18th (11/18/2021) at 7:00 pm in the Bryce Jordan Center in State College, Pennsylvania on Big Ten Network Plus (BTN+).
The Nittany Lions (1-1) opened the season with an easy home victory over Youngstown State but struggled immensely on the road on Monday, falling to UMass and former Nittany Lion Trent Buttrick by 25.
St. Francis (Brooklyn) is 0-2 on the season, having fallen at Wisconsin in the opener 81-58 and then to St. Thomas (Minnesota) in their home opener 91-73 (St. Thomas is playing their first season as a Division 1 program, making the jump from Division 3). The Terriers are led by senior guards Michael Cubbage, who is the team leader in both points (15.0) and rebounds (7.0) and junior Rob Higgins, the team leader in assists (3.0) and steals (2.5) per game.
