Second Half Prediction – Jesse Luketa gets 3+ sacks
Jesse Luketa has transitioned to defensive end quite nicely, and he is making an impact at his new home. He is fourth on the team in tackles with 27, including 4.5 tackles for loss. He also has 5 QB hurries so far on the year.
The senior has noticeably gotten more comfortable at defensive end with each passing week, and he will continue to do so.
He has not yet tallied a sack, but I expect him to get some in the second half of the season. Just like with Ebiketie, he will have some great opportunities to accumulate some sacks in the second half of the season, especially against Illinois and Maryland.
I have confidence that Jesse Luketa can tally at least 3 total sacks in the final 7+ games of the season. If he can get the minimum of 3 that I am predicting, and Ebiketie can get the 6 more that he needs to reach double-digit sacks, that would mean an incredible second half of the season for the Penn State Football defense.
