Ohio State did bounce back from its loss to Oregon with a 41-20 victory over Tulsa.

This game was a lot closer than the score may show, as it was a one score game until Ohio State scored two touchdowns in the final three minutes of the game, one being a pick six.

Freshman running back Treveyon Henderson was amazing, rushing for 277 yards and two touchdowns on just 24 carries. Quarterback C.J. Stroud did struggle a bit, going 15-25 with 185 yards, a touchdown and an interception.

While giving up 20 points was an improvement for the Ohio State defense, Tulsa isn’t exactly an offensive powerhouse. They came into the game averaging 20 points a game, so they played up to their average.

Defensive coordinator Kerry Coombs did not call plays on Saturday, secondary coach Matt Barnes did. It’s an interesting dynamic as the Buckeyes look to fix a defense that has struggled to start the season.

Ohio State is the most talented team in this conference, they just look out of sorts and are struggling to find an identity. Luckily for them, they play Akron this week.
