Big Ten power rankings entering Week 4: Penn State Football or Iowa No. 1?
Speaking of teams that look to be back, the Michigan Wolverines are taking care of business.
Michigan defeated Northern Illinois 63-10 on Saturday.
Now, unlike Michigan State, Michigan has not ventured away from home yet, but it’s hard to ignore the pure dominance of their wins, regardless of competition.
The Wolverines ran the ball straight down Norther Illinois’ throats on Saturday, picking up 373 yards and eight touchdowns on the ground. Blake Corum led the way with 125 yards and three scores.
Cade McNamara had a very efficient game, going 8-11 for 191 yards and a score. Michigan still hasn’t asked him to do a lot, so it will be interesting to see how he performs in bigger games.
The defense held Northern Illinois to just 46 yards through the air, an impressive stat considering there was 17 pass attempts, good for an average of 2.7 yards per pass.
Michigan is playing great of both sides of the ball and has an insane 107 point differential in just three games. They are flat out destroying the teams they play.
Rutgers should be a good test this week, but the Wisconsin game in two weeks will tell us just how good this team is.
