Comedians in Town

It was announced in July that comedian Bill Burr would be performing at the Bryce Jordan Center, on the eve of Penn State Football’s home opener.

Bill Burr announced on the Anything Better Podcast, which features he and fellow comedian Paul Virzi, that Virzi will be on the gig with him, as well as Joe Bartnick.

They also announced on the podcast that the three of them will be in attendance for the game on Saturday. Burr and Virzi have gone to many college football games over the years, and are big time football fans, so they are in for a treat to take in a game at Beaver Stadium.

It is always cool to have celebrities on hand for a game. For the Nittany Lions’ 2019 home opener, musician Joe Jonas was on the sidelines to watch as Penn State took on Idaho.

As a big fan of this trio of comedians, it is exciting to have them performing in Happy Valley. I will certainly be listening to their podcast material (highly recommend for fans of comedy) as I make the seven and a half hour drive from North Carolina to State College on Friday morning for the show and the game.
