Penn State Hoops FULL Schedule Released
By Evan Smith
The Big Ten Conference released the entire Men’s Basketball Schedule today, completing the Penn State Basketball schedule.
After the non-conference schedule was released last week, the final piece for Penn State Basketball’s 2021-’22 slate was the Big Ten conference schedule.
We already knew which teams we’d play twice in a home and home (Indiana, Iowa, Michigan State, Minnesota, Northwestern, Ohio State and Rutgers), once just at home (Michigan, Nebraska, Purdue) and once just on the road (Illinois, Maryland, Wisconsin) but now with the order released, here are few highlights for the Nittany Lions:
- End of the year — finishing at Illinois and at Rutgers, a very difficult place to win, likely means PSU will be on a losing streak going into the conference tournament.
- Best chance for a nice run: Penn State hosts Indiana, travels to Northwestern, hosts Purdue and hosts Rutgers…a three out of four stretch is possible to start the new year
- The 2020-2021 schedule was the hardest schedule in the 20 year history of KenPom strength of schedule rankings. 2021-2022 is a bit easier.
