Penn State Basketball’s full schedule for the upcoming season has finally been released

After quite a wait, the athletic program has finally announced the Penn State Basketball schedule for the 2021-22 season.

We’ve seen a few games trickle out here and there (Youngstown State as the home opener, hosting Miami (FL) in the B1G-ACC Challenge game), but we finally know each of Penn State’s non-conference opponents this year.  Penn State will have two tough opponents from power five conferences in the Emerald Coast Classic (playing LSU in the semifinal and either Wake Forest or Oregon State in the final).  Penn State also has a tricky road trip just before Christmas at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) and must travel to the University of Massachusettes to battle Trent Buttrick and the Minuteman.

Typical ‘buy games’, where Penn State is likely paying the opponent to come ot the Bryce Jordan Center, include Wagner, Youngstown State, St. Francis (NY), Quinnipiac and Delaware State.  These are all games you expect to win, but it’s always hard to shake the ghosts of home loses to Maine, Rider and Souteast Lousiana.

Here is Penn State Basketball’s full schedule:

November 10th — vs Youngstown State

November 15th — @UMass

November 18th — vs St. Francis (NY) (Emerald Coast Classic campus game)

November 22nd — Cornell

November 26th — neutral site vs LSU (Emerald Coast Classic Semifinal)

November 27th — neutral site vs either Wake Forest or Oregon State (Emerald Coast 3rd Place or Final)

December 1st — vs Miami (B1G-ACC Challenge)

December 8th — vs Wagner

December 18th — at VCU

December 22nd — vs Quinnipiac, 7:00 pm

December 29th — vs Delaware State
