Penn State Football bold prediction No. 3: Arnold Ebiketie Reaches Double-Digit Sacks

Arnold Ebiketie is one of the top transfers in the country, coming over from Temple this past offseason. Ebiketie was reportedly very impressive this offseason in spring practice, and has continued it into training camp.

Is there really anything to suggest Ebiketie can do this? Well, not exactly, but there was nothing to suggest that Carl Nassib would break out for 15.5 sacks in 2015 either, but he did it.

Ebiketie has good size and athleticism to go along with plenty of experience at the college level. He is not a big name nationally, so he may be able to break out early and accumulate a lot of sacks through the first month of the season.

All it takes is a couple big games where he gets 2-4 sacks that can put a dent into that number of ten for the season. There are certainly a few games on Penn State’s schedule where he can do that, such as Villanova and Illinois.

Ebiketie certainly has the potential to be playing on Sundays in the near future. For that reason, if he stays healthy, there is no reason that he cannot reach double digit sacks in 13+ games this season.
