Notre Dame

Penn State and Notre Dame have faced off 19 times, resulting in nine wins for both sides and one tie. It’s time for one side to take the lead.

The Irish and Nittany Lions played a home and home every year from 1981-1992 and then rekindled the rivalry in 2006 and 2007, with each side winning the home game.

A yearly game between these two would be something both fan bases would look forward to. Especially with plenty of Notre Dame fans in Pennsylvania. This could be a game that could be played at neutral sites like Philadelphia, Indianapolis or Chicago, both fan bases would flock to the game regardless of location.

These two have been locked in major recruiting battles over the past six months or so, with both sides winning their fair share. At the rate that both schools are reeling in the recruits, these games would certainly be entertaining and competitive.

If these two teams do meet in the near future, it’ll likely be in a bowl game, and if that game turns out as good as we think it could, both sides may be inclined to agree to something.
