Coach Scott Frost’s Cornhuskers finished with a 3-5 record last season, and the fans in Lincoln have been waiting for him to turn this program since he arrived as head coach in 2018.

Can Frost lead Nebraska to their first winning record and first bowl appearance since 2016?

Fourth year quarterback Adrian Martinez had a career high 71.5% completion percentage and limited to just three interceptions in seven games played last year. Scott Frost will look for Martinez to continue to improve and be able to help lead the Huskers’ offense. The defense should also help spring Nebraska back into bowl eligibility, as Athlon Sports had this to say:

"Frost’s reputation is built around the offense, but the defense might help define Nebraska as it tries to climb back to relevance."

Nebraska renews an old Big 12 rivalry when they hit the road to take on the Oklahoma Sooners in their fourth game of the season. With the exception of that game against Oklahoma, the Cornhuskers have a good chance to win all their games in the first half of their schedule.

However, expect Nebraska to run into a brick wall in the back half of their schedule. They have to take on Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio State, Wisconsin, and Iowa in five of their last six games. If Nebraska takes care of business and wins the games they are supposed to, they can find themselves back in a bowl game come December.
