The sole 2022 commit to Shrewsberry, Kanye Clary, has been putting up numbers in the 17U Circuit for his team (Boo Williams EYBL out of Virginia).

The two-star recruit is averaging 16.0 points per game, including shooting 50% from beyond the arc, and almost 61% from the field. There are strong hopes this is a ‘get in on them early’ type of recruting job by Shrewsberry and hopefully his stock will continue to rise while staying committed to the Nittany Lions.

But, speaking of future Nittany Lions, is anyone else joining the team?

Penn State Basketball currently has only 11 players on their 2021-2022 roster, which is at least two or three players short of a full roster.  And of those 11, only 10 are scholarship players (unless former walk-on Andy Christos was given a scholarship).

Another odditiy on the listed roster is that their only 2021 recruit, Elijah Hutchins-Everett, isn’t listed on the roster.  Is he still committed to Penn State and Micah Shrewsberry?

Something important to keep an eye on for sure.
