Penn State University announced Beaver Stadium will be at full capacity for the upcoming 2021-2022 Penn State Football season.

As limitations and restrictions continue to be relaxed across both the commonwealth and the country, this announcement mirrored Penn State’s new mask policy on campus starting on June 28th.

Fully vaccinated individuals will no longer be required to wear face masks indoors or outdoors (except for the College of Medicine). Penn State also annoucned vaccine incentives, allowing students and employees to upload proof of their vaccine for a chance at a $1,000 payment, a football signed by James Franklin, and a $100 gift card to Barnes and Noble.

The biggest news of all, though, was a full Beaver Stadium is expected this fall.

The Big Ten Conference played a conference only schedule in the 2020 season with no public admission fans in any stadium, regardless of individual state regulations.

Penn State Football will open the season on the road (at Wisconsin on September 4th) before returning home a week later to host the Ball State Cardinals and hosting SEC team Auburn Tigers on the 18th (7:30 pm, ABC).  That’s the first half of four straight home games, with Villanova and Indiana visiting the following two weeks.

Beaver Stadium is the second largest stadium in the nation, holding over 107,000 people.   Less than three years ago the statdium attendance record was set, with 110,889 people witnessing Penn State’s heartbreaking loss to Ohio State, 27-26.

Is Penn State closer to 8-4 or College Football Playoff. light. Trending
