Week 8 – Illinois

Beside the earlier home game in the season against Villanova, this might be one of the easier games on the schedule for Franklin and company. Illinois is a team rebuilding, and with a first year head coach.

We saw Illinois come to Happy Valley for last season’s finale, and it was a laugher for Penn State Football. This is a welcomed sight coming off the bye week with a trip to Columbus looming the following week.

Prediction: Noon on FOX Sports 1

Week 9 – At Ohio State

Penn State Football will go through a gauntlet of a schedule before even getting to this point, and who knows what their record will be, but if this is a zero or one loss team, this is going to be the game of the week and one of the games of the year.

The last time these two met in Columbus in 2019, it was a one loss Penn State Football team and undefeated Ohio State team, with all the implications on the line, and it was a noon kick on Fox. ESPN seems to love to get to Happy Valley for the white out and bring Game Day every year, but I think we might be in for a trend when this game takes place at Ohio State.
