While Penn State Football’s 2022 class has been on fire, the 2023 class has a chance to be great as well.

Like the 2022 cycle, the 2023 cycle has plenty of highly rated prospects in Penn State Football’s recruiting region. Although these prospects can’t sign for 20 months, we know that there’s always going to be guys who want to jump on board early.

Rankings will change many times before these recruits can sign, but here are five highly ranked 2023 prospects to keep an early eye on for Penn State Football:

Rahmir Stewart (Safety)

Rahmir Stewart is a standout safety at Imhotep Institute in Philadelphia. Imhotep is the high school of former Nittany Lion Shaka Toney, 2022 top target Enai White and a current transfer target, Tykee Smith.

247 Sports early rankings have Stewart as the No. 1 safety in the country, and No. 1 player in the state of Pennsylvania.

We’ve talked about Penn State Football’s need for more safety depth and talent, and Stewart would fill both of those issues.

Although they never played together, and likely won’t in college, the Nittany Lions landing Smith may help with Stewart, with them playing the same position and being from the same school.

Stewart already has a monster offer list that includes Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Oklahoma and Notre Dame.
