Iowa Hawkeyes

Iowa lost the first two games of the season last year and responded by ripping off six straight to end the season on a high note.

This could be one of head coach Kirk Ferentz’s best teams he’s had during his tenure with the Hawkeyes. A week 2 in-state showdown with Iowa State will be an early litmus test before Penn State Football comes to town in early October.

Back to back road trips around Halloween to Wisconsin and Northwestern figure to provide opportunity for them to stumble and could decide who wins the Big Ten West. Iowa should handle the rest of the division with no problem.

The winner of the Wisconsin game will represent the west in Indianapolis.

Prediction: 9-3
