In a week where Izaiah Brockington confirmed he will return to PSU Basketball and Myreon Jones said his farewell, we will dip back into the Victory Bell Rings Crystal Ball and guess the liklihood of the remaining players in the portal.

Big news was announced Friday when Izaiah Brockington (Junior SG) announced he will return to Penn State.  His homemade graphic (can’t imagine a football player announcing his return using a “homemade graphic”… (good support athletic department) expressed his belief that Coach Shrewsberry has a vision for the program and that PSU Basketball can do something special.

He also announced he will test the NBA Draft Process for feedback on his game.

This is not the same as announcing entry into the NBA draft.  In the past few years, the NCAA has created opportunities for players to receive draft-like evaluations to help determine their future plans without giving up their eligiblity.

And perhaps further good news came as Myles Dread quote tweeted Brockington’s return tweet saying “Let’s get to it!”  While Dread never entered the portal, it certainly appears he isn’t going anywhere.

But, with good news must come bad, as is #thePennStateBasketballstory.

No real surprise, but on Instagram, Myreon Jones announced his departure from Penn State, using his moniker of “Midnight” from his podcast “Midnight Domino Show” with John Harrar.  His departure isn’t much of a surprise and VBR Crystal Ball still sees him going to the SEC (either Alabama or Arkansas) but we will miss his insane range from three and wish him all the best.

What about the remaining 5 in the portal?
