WR Emery Simmons (2019)

Emery Simmons had an interesting recruitment.

In June of 2018, he committed to North Carolina. A month later, he flipped to the Nittany Lions.

The 3-star held him commitment until December, when he visited North Carolina again. On Dec. 8, 2018, he de-committed from Penn State and went back to North Carolina.

Simmons saw some playing time as a true freshman in 2019, catching four passes for 72 yards and a score. He played in six games in 2020, with 15 grabs for 201 yards and a touchdown.

He will likely see an increase in playing time over the next two years.

Penn State’s second team receiver group is up for grabs, he definitely would see playing time at Penn State, although probably not start.
