Tight End

Tight End: Brenton Strange (RS FR) – Theo Johnson (FR) – Tyler Warren (FR) – Khalil Dinkins (FR)

Penn State Football has been making a case to be “Tight End U” of late after they put Jesse James, Mike Gesicki and now Pat Freiermuth will be the next great former Nittany Lion playing on Sundays.

They lost tight end coach Tyler Bowen to the NFL as he will join Urban Meyer with the Jacksonville Jaguars, but this group should be unhindered as it features two uber talented freshman in Strange and Johnson.

Strange did a great job stepping into a starting role when Freiermuth went down with a shoulder injury last season, but Johnson is the stud of the group. At six-foot-six and 254 pounds, Johnson is an elite athlete who can run and stretch the field and could end up being better than Freiermuth when its all said and done.

maybe the best thing about this group is not only can they all run the entire route tree, they are exceptional blockers in the run game.
