The college game is evolving into more and more of an offensive game, with the elite teams being able to easily throw up 40+ points at any given time.

Coach Franklin went out and made a bold move to bring offensive coordinator Mike Yurcich here to make the offense more explosive, and his air-raid, spread attack will need as many receivers as possible to play a role.

That responsibility will fall on Keandre Lambert-Smith to emerge as a legitimate third option in the passing game to go along with the Nittany Lions star tandem of Jahan Dotson and Parker Washington on offense.

Last season, Lambert-Smith caught 15 passes for 138 yards and failed to reach the end zone. In Yurich’s offense he will have more asked of him and with defenses focused on the other two weapons, he is poised for a breakout season.

Many within the Penn State Football walls still believe Lambert-Smith is the more talented player compared to Washington, despite Washington’s stellar season he just needs the chance to prove it.

The Norfolk, Va native will benefit from a full offseason in the weight room and spring practice, listed at six-foot-one and 186 pounds he can afford to put on a few pounds and get a bit stronger.

If the Nittany Lions offense is going to get to where it wants to go, Lambert-Smith’s emergence will play a huge role in them doing just that.
