Penn State Basketball in the mix for transfer portal acquisition

Good News: While the Transfer Portal can taketh (see below, or here, and here, and here), it can giveth too.

Penn State Basketball is in the running for Rhode Island transfer Fatts Russell.  The 5’10” guard from Philly (Imhotep Charter) has averaged 13.4 points per game in his Rhode Island career and would have one year of eligibility left.

Bad News: Basically everyone has reached out to Myreon Jones, according to 247 SportsVBR Crystal Ball is still very confident he’s going to Alabama, but even if not, it seems he has little chance of returning, similar to Jamari Wheeler (due to his strong connections to Chambers and Ferry).

Shrewsberry has been in touch with Harrar, Lundy and Brockington as all have left the door open to returning.  Harrar continues to receive a ton of attention from power 5 (and unfortunately B1G schools) and Brockington has been contacted by UVA, Auburn, Arkansas and others (h/t Josh Verlin, City of Basketball Love).
