Jamari Wheeler

No one defended Pat Chambers more than Jamari Wheeler.

There was no doubt he wasn’t coming back if Penn State Basketball went in a new coaching direction. Frankly, I don’t think the administration trusted him with any information and that’s why they announced the news right away, rather than talking to the players first (for the second time in six months).

Wheeler improved offensively this year, and was his normal defensive pest, finishing second in the conference in steals and on his second consecutive All-Big Ten Defensive Team.

VBR Crystal Ball Fordham Rams under their (potential) new HC, Pat Chambers; if anyone is going to follow Pat, its Jamari. He came all the way from Florida to PA to Duquesne initially (coached by Jim Ferry) and then to PSU and Pat Chambers.  If just Ferry gets a HC job and not Pat, look for him to go there.  8/10 likelihood
