B10 quarterback rankings: How does Penn State Football stack up?
2. Indiana Hoosiers
Hoosiers quarterback Michael Penix had shown flashes of his talent in years prior, but the injury bug seemed to constantly derail him.
Once again, Pennx dealt with a serious injury when he was carted off in week 6, however prior to that he showed the college football world and Big Ten just how good he is. Penix not only led the Hoosiers to wins over Penn State Football and Michigan, but passed for 1,645 yards and 14 touchdowns in only five and a half games.
Indiana’s fate in 2021 will rest on how Penix recovers from his Achilles injury, but if he doesn’t they have maybe the most solid backup in the conference in Jack Tuttle. T
uttle is a former four-star recruit who transferred to Bloomington from Utah. The former Ute did a nice job in relief for Penix including leading a huge effort in a road win a Wisconsin last season.
If Penix is healthy in 2021 he has a chance to be the best quarterback in the Big Ten and the Hoosiers can once again expect to be a real threat to the blue bloods in the conference.
