2. Mike Yurcich

Last offseason, after Franklin brought in Kirk Ciarrocca Penn State Football fans started to dream about a Joe Brady effect, hoping he would transform Clifford into the next Joe Burrow.

The reverse took place, as Clifford took a step back from his play in 2019 and now Ciarrocca is out after just one season.

Franklin went out and got Yurcich to Happy Valley after admitting he has been keeping  a close eye on him for a few years now. Yurcich will bring with him an air raid, spread attack that should make life easier on whoever the quarterback is, leading to more efficient, high percentage passes.

Asking for a Joe Burrow like leap out of Clifford is an unfair bar to set, however it is fair to ask Yurcich to continue his quarterback whisperer ways for Penn State Football. He oversaw the progression of quarterbacks like Mason Rudolph, Justin Fields and Sam Ehlinger.

In his time at Oklahoma State he was responsible for explosive offenses that routinely averaged over 40 points a game, and then was apart of very good offenses at Texas and Ohio State as well in the past two years.
