Iowa center Luka Garza (55) looks to pass as Penn State forward Trent Buttrick (15) defends during a NCAA Big Ten Conference men’s basketball game, Sunday, Feb. 21, 2021, at Carver-Hawkeye Arena in Iowa City, Iowa.210221 Penn St Iowa Mbb 010 Jpg /

Trent Buttrick rings the bell

This was tough, because no one really stepped up for the most of the second half.

So, I’m going to give it to the first half hero.

Buttrick didn’t add much in the second half offensively but he still banged hard vs Garza.  In some ways, defending someone who can’t beat him off the dribble seemed to help Trent.

He finished with eight points and four rebounds along with three impressive steals off the player of the year candidate.

Good for Trent. He balled hard tonight.
